When a lost animal is brought to a veterinary clinic or shelter and a microchip is identified, the owner is contacted and can be reunited with his or her pet.

The microchip, which is the size of a grain of rice, is inserted between the shoulder blades and can be done during a routine visit.

At Phillips Veterinary Clinic, we use a new, smaller microchip that is also universal (ISO compliant) in the event that you should travel outside the U.S. with your pet.  We offer this service at a low, affordable cost.
